Creativio.AI is designed to make product photography easier and more affordable. Users can upload their own images and use AI to remove backgrounds, generate new scenes, upscale resolution, and apply advanced editing features. The platform is built around a custom AI engine and offers tools for both beginners and professionals, from quick fixes to detailed manual edits.

Task
We joined the project mid-way, after it had been started by another team. Our task was to finish the remaining features, switch the platform to a new AI engine, and build a custom editor that could handle all image-related tools in one place.
Challenges
The biggest challenge was the existing codebase. It included a lot of hard-coded logic and lacked proper structure, which made it difficult to scale or maintain. We had to refactor parts of it while building new features at the same time.
Another issue was timing. Some features had already been purchased by users but weren’t working yet, so we had to balance urgent bug fixes with ongoing development under tight deadlines.
Functionality
Product Photoshoot
Users start by uploading a product photo. The platform removes the background, and users can either enter prompts manually or use a visual builder to generate a new background using AI. They can then edit the final image on an interactive canvas.

AI Editor
This is the main workspace of the platform and includes a full set of AI-powered tools. Users can generate images from text prompts, remove or extend parts of an image with inpainting and outpainting, clean up backgrounds, and upscale resolution. The editor also supports more precise control: users can brush over specific areas to apply changes, add and style text, undo or redo edits, erase unwanted elements, and enhance overall clarity with upscaling. Everything is designed to help users create polished product images with minimal effort.

Magic Remover

Users can switch between Stability AI and a custom in-house model, depending on what works best for their workflow.
Licenses
Four license tiers are available: free trial, Starter, Business, and Professional. Each offers different limits on credits and feature access. Users can sign in with Google and upgrade as needed.
