About Codelex: Latvian Coding Courses with Post-Payment Model

Codelex is a platform for programming courses in Latvia built around a post-payment model. Users complete the application and learning process before paying, which makes the application flow a crucial part of the product and impacts conversion rates.

Tasks

Learning Experience & Progress Tracking

Build a clear and user-friendly learning platform where students can track their application progress, access course materials, and prepare for upcoming lessons.

Brand Consistency & Interface Design

Adapt the platform to the course brand identity and create a consistent user experience across all pages.

API Integration & Data Synchronization

Integrate the client’s API to synchronize user data, progress tracking, and platform content.

React.js Platform Revamp

Rebuild the platform using React.js to improve performance, navigation, and overall usability.

The Challenge: Confusing Acceptance Flow & High Dropout Rate

The previous version of the platform did not clearly explain how the acceptance process works. Users lacked visibility into their progress and didn’t understand what steps were required next. This led to confusion and a high dropout rate before completing the application. The goal was to make the flow transparent and easy to follow at every stage.

Research: Analyzing the Existing Application System

We started with a detailed analysis of the existing application system. This included reviewing how information was presented, where users dropped off, and how the flow could be simplified. Based on these insights, we restructured the logic and improved the way steps are communicated to users.

Design: Corporate Identity with Vibrant Color Palette

We based the design on Codelex’s brand and created a Figma prototype that keeps the corporate style but adds a more vibrant and engaging look. Our main focus was on clarity, consistency, and making navigation easier.

Functionality

Home Page: Progress Tracking & Lesson Countdown

The homepage serves as a central dashboard. It shows users their current progress in the acceptance process and displays a countdown to the next lesson. This helps users stay up to date and know where they are in the process.

Introductory Course: Program Overview & Key Components

The platform offers an introductory course that explains the program. It gives users a clear overview of the structure, what to expect, and the next steps, so they can make informed choices before moving forward.

Documentation: E-Signature Contracts & Essential Documents

Users can find all the documents they need right on the platform. They can sign contracts with an e-signature, so everything stays online and there’s no need for offline steps.

Materials & Video Library: Structured Learning Content

The platform provides preparation materials and a video library. Lessons are organized by date, so it’s easy to follow the course schedule. Extra materials are grouped by topic, which helps users prepare and review content whenever they need.

Results: Reduced Confusion, Higher Engagement & Better Enrollment

The updated platform made the application process simple and predictable. Now, users can track their progress, see what to do next, and find all the materials they need in one place. This has reduced confusion, boosted engagement, and led to more users finishing their applications.
