Assay-x helps users keep track of their blood test results and understand what the numbers mean. It highlights potential health risks, explains key indicators, and offers advice based on the user’s data.
Our task was to design the full user experience and visual style of the app. We worked closely with the client to define the core features, understand the medical use cases, and reflect the brand’s look and feel across every screen.
The main challenge was to present medical data in a way that felt friendly and easy to understand. We also had to align the new design with the existing logo and references the client had shared, which followed a voluminous, soft-shadowed style.
We started with research and discussions to better understand the app’s goals, user needs, and content structure. Based on that, we created a mind map outlining the core features and main user flows. This helped us plan the overall layout before moving into visuals.
2. Wireframes and Moodboard
Next, we built wireframes to define the app’s structure and screen-by-screen logic. Alongside that, we made a moodboard to match the visual style, including color and UI elements, with the client's vision.
3. Design
The final design uses soft colors and subtle shadows to keep the interface calm and welcoming. We followed a modular block-based structure to make the layout easy to navigate, while still keeping the look modern and consistent with the brand.
Users can upload their blood test data and get an instant breakdown. The app highlights normal and abnormal ranges, flags concerns, and offers optional deeper analysis for early signs of disease and personalized recommendations.
The app lets users track their blood metrics visually. Charts show how values change over time, with min/max indicators and color-coded health levels from normal to warning or critical.
Users can contact partner doctors right through the app for professional feedback. They can also search for nearby clinics via Google Maps. Doctors review results and respond within 24 hours.
Assay-x is still early in its product lifecycle, but the foundation is strong. With clear UX, solid functionality, and a clean medical design, the app is well-positioned to make health tracking simpler and more proactive. We’re looking forward to its launch and the value it will bring to users.
